BEATS WORKIN Trio features the extraordinary and versatile
David K. on guitar, dobro and 7 string slide guitar;
Mark Johnson ... a very fine upright bassist;
Bob de Wolff (Stringband)on guitars.
We are performing some of David's and Mark's
originals songs (which go from roots to latin),
blended with Bob’s Swing and Jump Blues.
Oh yeah ... and they sing too!

The music? (Our name might hint at it) We include the best of the Swing Era standards, early swing, Gypsy swing, waltzes and beautiful ballads. We feature Reuben's exuberant vocal delivery & stellar playing by all members.
Reuben played for two years with the Marc Atkinson Trio. Clark is well known in Victoria's music scene having been a founding member of the Big Band Trio & for a decade Stuart played with local dance band Sunyata

We host Friday Night Music at James Bay Coffee and Books 143 Menzies St. Victoria BC.
This is a family friendly, zero alcohol, community event where you can feel comfortable to come
on your own or with friends.
8pm Open Stage / Open Mic until just before 9
note: sign up starts early, really early, like 7 - 7:30ish
break at 9-ish
9 to 10pm a different Feature Group every weekend night
