Brazilian singer songwriter Joseh Garcia performs his new show "Echoes"

"A balm for the heart", "Serene voice and heartbreaking stage presence" are some of the ways people have described the music of the Brazilian singer-songwriter Joseh Garcia. After a recent tour in United States, France, and Brazil, Joseh Garcia returns to Victoria for a concert at James Bay Coffee and Books. He has prepared an intimate show where he sings, and plays acoustic guitar and the enchanting Indian shruti box. For the evening of Jan 18th he has chosen a sensitive repertoire that includes unique interpretations of Bossa Nova and MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) from great composers such as Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, and from his original EP Bossa a Trois.  About Joseh Garcia:
Joseh
Garcia is a Brazilian singer-songwriter whose music has reached audiences in Canada, Brazil, USA and France.In 2011 he released his first EP Bossa a Trois, recorded in France and produced by Daniel Masson.
Last July 2012 his show was chosen as a top pick choice of the week by Monday Magazine.
Joseh also has a Certificate on Sound Healing and a Ph.D. focusing on the transformative potential of music.

We host Friday & Saturday Night Music at James Bay Coffee and Books 143 Menzies St. Victoria BC.   This is a family friendly, zero alcohol, community event where you can feel comfortable to come on your own or with friends.  
8pm   Open Stage / Open Mic until just before 9    
           note:  sign up starts early, really early, like 7 - 7:30ish
           break at 9-ish
9 to 10pm  a different Feature Group every weekend night
