VIVIBE! aka the COOPER FAMILY Humour~ Love ~ Cooperation ~ Peace Vivibe! is the Cooper Family of five passionate, self-taught multi-instrumentalists aged 11 to 50 who complement each other in a cooperative performance where humor is one of the main ingredients. The songs are planet-conscious with a meaningful message and vision. Original fun tunes on ukulele hand drums percussion guitar harmonicas flute. Manitoba-based singer-songwriter Dan Frechette and California-based violinist Laurel Thomsen
A prolific songwriter, (1300 and counting), Dan Frechette’s songs have been covered successfully by The Ploughboys (“Who Will Take My Place”), Dervish (“My Bride and I”), Emma Cloney (“My Canada,” “My Bride and I”), Jessee Havey (“Dance and Play”), The Duhks (“Who Will Take My Place,” “Mists of Down Below,” “You Don’t See It”), and The Buccaneers (“Everybody Loves You”).
Whether dropping in to play with electric guitarist Tom Ayres & cowboy rocker Mike Beck, setting historic Alta California’s 1840s town hall ablaze with her fiery renditions of 1900-1950s classics, Laurel Thomsen's star is on the rise. Still making time for serious violin & viola students in her private studio, Laurel is also the creator of the Violin Geek Podcast, & an author & educational video luminary for Strings magazine.

We host Friday Night Music at James Bay Coffee and Books 143 Menzies St. Victoria BC.
This is a family friendly, zero alcohol, community event where you can feel comfortable to come
